Tallest Water Slide in the World:
As a kid, I dreamed of going to a waterpark and Meryal Waterpark has ignited my childhood dreams, with not only so many rides and water slides but the tallest waterslide on the planet!
Yes, that’s right. The RIG 1938 is home to the Icon Tower standing tall at a staggering 85 meters, that is 260 feet! Almost as tall as the Big Ben in London. The Icon Tower has 2 Guinness World Record attempts under its belt for the highest waterpark tower in the world. Woah, I am only 5’2 so you can imagine how exciting that is for people like me.
With a capacity to host 6,500 thrill-seekers daily, get set for an unforgettable adventure packed with excitement and endless fun!
How can I reach the RIG 1938?
The Icon Tower is easily accessible by a shuttle train or pathway.
Other Slides:
The rides and slides at the waterpark are all themed around Qatari culture and the country’s oil and gas industry as you’ll realize as we start naming the slides.
Since we can’t possibly begin to list all 52 slides, here are some other slides that you should add to your Meryal Water Park itinerary:
Vertigo:
Vertigo is a body slide, standing as the tallest slide with a drop in the park, it promises you the biggest splash of fun and adrenaline.
Jet Fuel Falls:
This flatline loop slide is nothing short of a thrill for all, with 2 high-speed looping body slides, you best believe you’re going to make a big splash! I mean, who doesn’t love a classic drop slide but add water to it and make it huge, that’s jet fuel falls for you.
The Boiler:
Just the name is getting me in the mood for experiencing some excitement. With 2 slides, Abyss at the upper end creating a funnel and Rattler at the base, the Boiler is a large raft ride packed with fun and adrenaline.
Oil Blast:
This one is a treat for the kids, as someone who does not have children, I still prefer them to be busy while the adults can also enjoy it. With 2 slides, the Oil Blast features a splash pad with tipping water buckets, cannons and so much more!
There are so many more rides we want to tell you about, including some honorary mentions: Rapid Refinery, Vaporizer, Extruder, Alqatara, Cracker, Reformer, Roughneck, and many, many more!
However, as I said before, the slides are not something to read about, rather they were designed to be experienced. So what are you waiting for? Get in touch with us and get tickets today!
