Adventurous Immersion into a Nature Reserve near Riyadh.

An intimate encounter with the untamed Najd wilderness.

Imagine: walking through the breathtaking Dahna Desert with occasional valleys and prairies alive with life only a few hours away from Riyadh city?

This Nature Reserve was established in 1996 to safeguard the region’s precious ecosystems.

Drive Northeast to Al Qassim Province for the thrill of myriad outdoor activities. Try camel rides or sandboarding as you watch for swift sand gazelle, Arabian oryx, and Nubian ibex. Ride a bicycle or hike through ancient routes and archeological remains in the unique landforms of Najd. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the Arabian leopard and Houbara bustard.

Let the culture of the land where local communities thrive alongside endangered species unfold through insightful guided tours led by locals. Discover landforms such as Rawdat Khuraim, an oasis bursting with lush vegetation, and Ghilana Valley, a geographical feature unique to the Najd region.

Opt to enjoy your nature reserve tour with a Keshta – an Arabian outdoor camp set-up where you can listen to stories of the local community with warm Arabian tea.
