Tour Plan

Day 01

Upon arrival in Muscat, you will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your chosen hotel for a comfortable stay.

Day 02

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before setting out to explore Muscat. Witness the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity  in this enchanting city. Our first stop is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a magnificent symbol of Oman’s architecture and culture. Admire its stunning decor and impressive chandeliers. Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to delve into Oman’s history and culture. Stroll along the waterfront Corniche, explore the Fish Market, and get a taste of the traditional Muttrah Souq. As the day progresses, we pay a visit to the regal Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. Situated at the heart of Muscat, this magnificent palace is flanked by the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, creating a grand backdrop. Although the palace’s interior remains closed to the public, visitors are free to stroll through the palace yard and gardens, capturing photographs to commemorate their visit.

After a pause for lunch, the choice is yours for the remainder of the day — to unwind and relax at the hotel or partake in an activity that piques your interest.

Day 03

After an early breakfast, embark on an adventurous mountain journey. Traverse winding roads to Nakhl, passing through lush date palm plantations and stopping at Ain Al Thowarah Hot Springs. Head to Wadi Bani Auf for a rugged exploration of rocky valleys and captivating landscapes. Discover the charming village of Bilad Sayt and the historic town of Al Hamra. Explore the magnificent Jabreen Castle and find respite at the Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel for the night.

Day 04

Indulge in a leisurely breakfast before visiting Nizwa Fort and its vibrant Souq.If your visit aligns with a Friday, you’ll be treated to the captivating sight of the weekly cattle auction held right here. Our journey then takes us along the Izki-Sinaw road, veering onto a path that leads to the picturesque Wadi Bani Khalid, also recognized as Wadi Hayer or Wadi Hawer. Nestled amid the arid sands, Wadi Bin Khalid emerges as a desert oasis, fringed by date palm trees. Its crystal-clear pools set against imposing rocky valleys provide an inviting haven, perfect for unwinding or indulging in a refreshing swim. The waters of the wadi glisten, and a waterfall adds to the natural allure. Continue to the mesmerizing Wahiba Sands, a sprawling desert expanse that forms part of Oman’s Al Sharqiya Sands, also referred to as Ramlat al Wahiba. Though the land’s flora and fauna are sparse, it’s remarkable to consider that the Bani Wahiba tribe once called this challenging environment home, lending their name to the Wahiba Sands. Today, a few Bedouin houses remain, standing as remnants of an enduring heritage. We’ll have the privilege of conversing with the residents of one of these houses, gaining insight into their way of life. Your night will be spent in the comfort of traditional tents. As the sun gracefully sets over the dreamy dunes, we’ll gather for a dinner before retiring to the Bedouin tents at the 1000 Nights Camp.

Day 05

Awake to the serene desert landscape and enjoy breakfast before departing for Sur. Witness the craftsmanship at the dhow factory and explore the historic Sanseela Fort. Following a brief pause for lunch, our route takes us along the highway, leading us back towards Muscat. A short diversion from the highway brings us to a hilltop, offering panoramic views of palm trees and the remnants of the ancient town of Qalhat. Here lies the Bibi Miriam’s Tomb, also known as ‘The Mausoleum of Lady Maryam.’ A rare survivor of time’s passage, the tomb grants us insight into the region’s historical past. Exploring the ruins of this once-thriving city, we proceed to the Bimah Sinkhole, a natural wonder nestled in the small Hawiyat Najm Park. The sinkhole, also called Bait al-Afreet, features a massive limestone crater with pristine blue-green waters below.

After savoring the beauty of the sinkhole, an adventurous path through the captivating mountains leads us to Wadi Arbayeen, situated in Oman’s Al Sharqiyah region. Amid its rocky facade, the wadi reveals lush date trees and a profusion of lakes, waterfalls, and serene pools. Our journey then returns us to Muscat, offering picturesque landscapes as we traverse diverse sights. A stop at Quriyat or Qurayyat, a seaside fishing town, invites exploration of its quaint streets. A visit to the four-century-old Quriyat Fort adds a historical depth to our day. Engage with the bustling Fish Souk, where the rhythm of daily life in a fish market unfolds, showcasing an array of seafood destined for both local consumption and export. As we journey back through the mountains, traversing the rugged Eastern Hajjar range, the road offers vistas of rocky mountains, narrow valleys, and charming mountain villages. We then reach Muscat, where you can check into the hotel of your preference.

Day 06

After breakfast, catch a flight to Khasab, Musandam’s capital. Visit Khasab Fort, the prehistoric rock paintings at Wadi Tawi, and the ruins of Qadah village. Embark on a half day mountain safari to Jebel Harim, the highest peak of Musandam Peninsula. Continuing, head to Khor Rori, a lush freshwater creek teeming with aquatic birds. Nearby lies the ancient city of Samhuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to 2BC, which played a pivotal role in Arabia’s frankincense trade. Continuing the route leads to Mirbat, the former capital of Dhofar. Once a bustling trade hub, Mirbat’s legacy is preserved in its old houses and historical columns depicting prancing horses. Though the main fort is in ruins, the town’s charm and a beautiful beach remain. After a satisfying lunch, around 2:30 PM,  take the scenic route along Ittin Road to Nabi Ayoub’s tomb. Located high in the mountains, this spiritual site offers panoramic vistas of lush plains and mountains, especially enchanting during the Khareef season. We then proceed to Al Mughsail Beach, famed for its white sands and unique blowholes that spout water columns high into the air. Our journey continues to Wadi Dawkah, a UNESCO site known for its Frankincense trees and breathtaking views. En route, visit a bird sanctuary to witness migratory birds in season.

Upon returning to Salalah, you’ll have the evening to unwind at a hotel of your choice or explore the city’s offerings.

Day 10

Begin your day with the beauty of Salalah’s morning. Enjoy breakfast at your own pace, and if you haven’t yet, explore the taste of local Omani cuisine alongside your usual dishes.
