Day beyond the ordinary at Oman’s largest natural water park

An all-in-one-adventure of hiking, abseiling and swimming at Snake Canyon with Wadi Expert Mohammed Alhadi!

Welcome to Snake Canyon

A magnificent nature’s wonder, Snake Canyon is nestled within the breathtaking expanse of Wadi Bani Auf in Wilayat Rustaq.Extending from the village of Balad Seet to Zama village, the canyon derives its name from the snake like shape of the gorge.

For the explorers, there are two entrances to choose from. The first, a longer trail beginning at Balad Seet village, which requires abseiling under the expertise of a guide. On the other hand, the second entrance starts from Bima village, welcoming explorers without the need for climbing gear or abseiling and is perfect for those exploring with family. The snake valley is also characterized by narrow waterways that glisten and rock formations that leave you with a sense of awe.

As you venture deeper into the canyon, you’ll discover serene pools of varying sizes and lengths, inviting you to pause and connect with the natural world. Midway through, a narrow passage will challenge you, allowing only one person to pass.

Yet, the journey is far from over. A cave lies ahead, its waters marking the end of this incredible adventure. Here, the experience shifts from a daring exploration to a blend of walking and swimming until you reach Zama village.
