Sharaan Dinner and Stargazing — Shared — Al Ula
Expedition Overview
Begin your evening with pickup from your AlUla hotel in a Land Rover Defender 130, shared unless a private vehicle is booked. Upon arrival at Sharaan Nature Reserve, receive a stainless steel water bottle and a briefing from your Conservation Guide before setting off on a safari through the reserve's canyons and valleys at dusk.
As evening falls, arrive at the camp and admire the lantern-lit canyons before heading out with UV lights to discover nocturnal creatures and learn about their role in the ecosystem. Return to camp for a four-course South African-style braai featuring grilled meats, vegetables, appetizers, sides, and desserts.
Relax by the bonfire in the lounge area before enjoying a stargazing session with telescope viewing and projection mapping displays. The experience lasts approximately four hours, with return to your hotel between 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM.
Important Notes:
A private vehicle is required when travelling with children under 5 years old.
Closed-toe shoes are required throughout the experience.
For winter safaris from November to March, bring warm clothing for the evening.
Dietary requirements and allergies can be accommodated with advance notice.
Unless a private vehicle is booked, the dinner table will be shared with other guests from the shared vehicle.
Bathroom facilities are available at the camp.
The nature drive is not recommended for guests who are more than six months pregnant.
